- Using emails for memos instead of printed copies
- Reduced unwanted mail
- Eliminating use of unrecyclable packaging
- Using reusable cups and glasses
- Using biodegradable utensils
- Centralize purchasing of supplies to reduce GHG emissions
- Reuse office paper as scratch paper
- Reuse binders
- Having our cartridges refilled or using recycled ones.
- Recycle all paper, glass, bottles, cans, and plastics
- All copier paper is at least 30% recycled paper (often 100%) as well as paper towels, and napkins.
- Purchased previously used furniture
- Using energy saving equipment
- Using time switch that automatically switches off office equipment outside business hours
- Using compact fluorescent bulbs T8
- We have double paned windows
- We use awnings and blinds to reduce sun exposure
- I’d like to say that we are setting our thermostat to 78F (that’s what I submitted)
- We clean windows only when needed
- Keeping our parking lot free of debris and oil drips
- Our dumpsters are covered when not in use
- We purchase low VOC paints
- Using chlorine free paper products
- Donating electronic equipment
- Hiring locally
- Bicycle rack on site
- Using only two vendors for product deliveries
- Covering exposed landscape with wood chips to reduce water use
